What is a CSA?
Community-Supported Agriculture.
By purchasing a CSA share in a farm, the consumer and the farmer create a relationship where the consumer, by making a financial commitment, becomes in essence a shareholder in the farm for a season. As a shareholder, you share in the bounty and the risk of crop failure. It is the farm's responsibility to do everything possible to ensure that there will be a bounty of products, however sometimes Mother Nature does things that are out of our control!
